The Coach Behind It All
Meet Kyle
Academy Director & Founder
Kyle Theodoroulakes
Born and raised in Adelaide, Kyle was scouted at 15 and went on to join L'Aquila Calcio Academy — a professional Serie C club in Italy. He trained under professional coaching staff for four years before returning home in 2019.
Back in Adelaide with a coaching license and a clear vision, Kyle started the academy from scratch — no reputation, no players, 1:1 in local parks. Over 6 years he has coached 1,000+ kids across every level: Mini Kickers through to state-level athletes.
Every system, session structure, and piece of feedback at Mastery comes from Kyle's direct experience at professional level — applied to youth development right here in Adelaide. He doesn't delegate the methodology. He built it.

Our Story
Why We Built This
In 2019, we looked at youth football coaching in Adelaide and saw the same problem everywhere: kids were training in large groups, getting minimal individual attention, and receiving zero feedback between sessions. Parents were paying for coaching but their children weren't really being coached.
We built Mastery to fix that. Small groups. Qualified coaches. Weekly written feedback. Video analysis. Individual development plans. The same processes that professional clubs use — made accessible to every Adelaide family.
Six years later, we coach 300+ players across 6 Adelaide locations. Our players have been selected for state squads and Adelaide United, and our Spain Pathway takes elite players to train with Valencia CF. The standard is real. The results are in those 127 Google reviews.
Our Journey
2019
Kyle returned from 4 years in Italy and founded Mastery Football Academy in Adelaide — starting 1:1 with no reputation and no players.
2020
Created a Futsal program tailored specifically to develop soccer players.
2021
Launched a soccer-specific program and became a founding member of the Academy Youth League.
2022
Expanded to multiple locations across Adelaide.
2023
Valencia CF Spain Pathway partnership established.
